Parmesan Creamed Corn

This is an easy, homemade, gluten-free creamed corn recipe.

Step 1

Saute shallots. Melt part of the. butter in a large skillet and add the shallots. Saute for 2-3 minutes until soft. 

Step 2

Add the corn. Add the corn to the shallots and cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring often, until the corn is starting to soften. 

Step 3

Add the cream. Add the cream to the pan and bring to a simmer. Then, add the milk and corn starch and simmer. 

Step 4

Add Parmesan.  Add the parmesan and fresh herbs and season with salt and lots of freshly cracked black pepper. 

Step 5

Serve.  Transfer to a serving dish and top with more thyme, paprika, and freshly cracked pepper.
