Nutella Chocolate Lava Cakes

1. Melt chocolate and butter

In a heat-proof mixing bowl, combine the chocolate and butter and melt over a double boiler. Whisk in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

2. Whisk eggs

In a separate bowl, combine the sugar and eggs. Using a hand mixer, whip on high for 4-5 minutes until light and foamy and doubled in size. 

3. Mix

Fold the chocolate into the whipped eggs and sugar and mix well. 

4. Bake

Pour the batter into 4- 10 oz. ramekins and press chilled Nutella into the center. Chill for 30 minutes and then bake at 350 F for 35 min.


Serve warm topped with powdered sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
