Gingerbread Donuts

10 donuts

1 hour

1. Make the Dough

Whisk together dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the wet ingredients and mix until the dough resembles cookie dough. Cover and chill for 30 min.

2. Roll out the Donuts

On a floured surface, roll the dough out to 3/4" thickness.

3. Cut the Donuts

Using a circle cutter, cut out as many donuts as possible. Gather the dough back up and re-roll and repeat.

4. Chill

Use a smaller circle cutter or a shot glass to cut out the donut holes. Place the donuts on a baking sheet. Score the donuts with a smaller circle.  Cover and refrigerate for 20 min.

5. Fry and Glaze

Heat canola oil to 350 F and fry for 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a rack set over a baking sheet. While still warm, dip the donuts in the glaze.
