Prep Time: 15 Min

Cod or Other White Fish Blackening Seasoning Butter Shredded Cabbage Pico de Gallo Mayonnaise Sour Cream Limes Corn Tortillas

Cook Time: 10 Min

Ingredients

White Scribbled Underline

Step 1

Cut fish. If you're working from a larger loin, cut the fish down into pieces. I love cod, but any flaky white fish will do.

Step 2

Season fish. I like to make my own, but you can use store bought seasoning. Coat the fish liberally and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

Step 3

Prep skillet. Blackened fish is so much better cooked in butter. Melt butter in a skillet over high heat until it's foamy and hot.

Step 4

Cook fish. Cook the fish for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 5

Assemble. Gently flake the fish into chunks and layer on warm corn tortillas with cabbage, pico de gallo, and sauce. Serve with lime wedges.
