Bean and Cheese Tostadas

Step 1

Make the beans. Homemade refried beans are best, but store bought is fine too! Warm the beans in a skillet and season with salt if needed. 

Step 2

Fry the tostadas. Fry the corn tortillas in a thin layer of oil til crispy. You can use store bought tostada shells too. 

Step 3

Prep tostadas. Spread beans on the tostada shells and top generously with shredded cheese.  

Step 4

Bake.  Bake for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and everything is warmed through. 

Step 5

Assemble. Transfer the tostadas to a plate and top with an assortment of toppings! Enjoy!
