Sausage and Tomato Pasta

1. Saute

Melt butter and olive oil in a skillet and saute the shallots and garlic until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

2. Cook Sausage

Add the sausage and red pepper flakes and cook until the sausage is browned and cooked all the way through. 

3. Add the Paste

This is the important part! Add the tomato paste and cook until it's deeply red in color, about 4-5 min. 

4. Add Pasta

Add your pasta water and simmer for 2-3 min. Add the pasta, cream, mascarpone, butter, and parmesan and simmer for 2-3 more minutes.


Top your sausage and tomato pasta with more parmesan and fresh basil and enjoy!
