Nutella-Stuffed French Toast

Step 1

Dry out the bread. The night before, lay your brioche out on a baking sheet at room temp so they dry out a little. 

Step 2

Spread Nutella. Liberally spread nutella on half of the bread and sandwich with the remaining pieces. 

Step 3

Macerate strawberries. Combine chopped strawberries with a bit of sugar and let them sit until juicy.  

Step 4

Batter bread.  Dip the bread in the batter on both sides and remove from the batter. 

Step 5

Cook. Melt butter in a skillet and when it's hot and foamy, cook the french toast for 2-3 min per side, until golden brown. 

Step 6

Assemble. Top french toast with a dusting of powdered sugar, macerated strawberries, and lightly sweetened whipped cream.
