Step 1
Blanch the green beans.
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and. add the green beans. Cook for 3-5 minutes until bright green, and drain.

Saute the mushrooms.
Heat oil in a dutch oven and saute the mushrooms until very golden brown. Remove and set aside.

Make the roux.
Melt the butter and saute the shallots and garlic. Add flour and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Finish sauce.
Add the broth, cream cheese, half and half, and Worcestershire and simmer until thick. Add the mushrooms.

Add the green beans.
Add the green beans to the sauce and toss well. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
