Step 1

Cut the fish into pieces and remove any skin. Pat the fish dry and season with salt and pepper all over. 

Step 2

Whisk together the wet batter ingredients and dip the fish pieces into it. Shake off any excess. 

Step 3

Coat the battered fish into the seasoned panko crumbs. Press the crumbs into the fish really well. 

Step 4

Fry the fish pieces for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and season with salt. 

Step 5

Whisk together the ingredients for the tartar sauce and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Step 6

Serve the fish with fries and lemon wedges for squeezing. Serve with tartar sauce on the side.
