Step 1

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until hot and foamy. Transfer to a pourable container. 

Step 2

Add the egg and yolk to a wide mouth pint mason jar. Add the lemon and hot sauce. 

Step 3

Slowly stream in the hot melted butter while blending until creamy and thick. Season with salt and pepper. 

Step 4

Keep in a small pot of warm water for up to 1 hour to keep the sauce warm.
