Step 1
Make the stock.
Break the whole chicken down into pieces, season with salt and pepper, place in a stock pot with the remaining ingredients.

Skim.
Cover with water, simmer, and skim any foam. Remove the chicken, shred it, and return the bones to the pot. Simmer for 2 hours.

Saute the veggies.
Saute the carrot, onion, and celery in butter in a dutch oven until softened. Season with salt and pepper.

Add the stock and chicken.
Strain the stock and then add it to the pot with the shredded chicken. Simmer.

Add the peas and dill and cook til tender. Cook the noodles separately.
