Step 1

Melt the chocolate, butter, and oil together. Whisk in the cocoa powder and let the mixture cool. 

Step 2

Whisk the eggs and sugar together with the sour cream, then mix in the cooled chocolate mixture. 

Step 3

Fold in the dry ingredients until smooth. Then, mix in the whiskey and coffee until the batter is smooth. 

Step 4

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake until a cake tester comes out cool. Cool completely. 

Step 5

Use a hand mixer to beat the frosting ingredients until smooth and fluffy. 

Step 6

Use an offset spatula to frost the top of the cake. Top with sprinkles, if desired.
