Step 1

Caramelized shallots and garlic. Cook the shallots and garlic down in butter and olive oil until jammy and deeply caramelized.

Step 2

Cook the tomato paste. Add the anchovies, olives, and tomato paste and cook down until the tomato paste is dark in color.  

Step 3

Finish Pasta. Add in pasta, pasta water, butter, parmesan and stir until the sauce coats the pasta. 

Step 4

Top and serve.  Divide the pasta into bowls and top with lemon bread crumbs, parmesan, and basil.
