Step 1

Shuck and remove any silk strands from the corn. Rinse well and cut the ears in half.

Step 2

Combine the water, herbs, garlic, and butter in a pot and simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Add the milk and corn and bring to a very gentle simmer. Season with salt and sugar. 

Step 4

Simmer the corn for 8-10 minutes until bright yellow. Remove the corn from the pot. 

Step 5

Spread the warm corn with butter and sprinkle with parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper.
