Step 1

Layer half the torn croissants, cream cheese, blueberries, and blueberry preserves in a baking dish.

Step 2

Top with the remaining croissant pieces and blueberries and set aside.

Step 3

Whisk together all the custard ingredients until smooth. No bits of un-mixed egg should remain.

Step 4

Pour the custard over the prepared croissants and soak for 1 hour, up to overnight. 

Step 5

Bake covered and uncovered until golden brown and the custard is set and not runny.

Step 6

Top with a dusting of powdered sugar and whipped cream before serving.
